This certainly captures what is happening in the media. Jack Abramoff gave only to Republicans (though without a doubt both parties are corrupt in general), not to even one Democrat.
Empathy is the ability to feel what the other person is going through. If sympathy means you understand what they are going through, empathy means you feel it within yourself.
